Hey guys thanks for clicking that link and reading this month’s blog, I just want to let you know how much your support means to me and that we are all changing the world one action at a time. So what has been going this month I hear you say! Last month I said I was doing that 5k for the Children With Cancer Fund (CWCF), well guess what I did it! It was a great event and I did my bit of training which really did help, my sole goal was just not to stop on the way round! I just want to say a massive thank you for all of you that have supported through the retweets, sharing and of course donations. Just so you know how it went I did a video so you can actually see the run, click here. Robert, Paul and I had a great run and had a great time, we are all great friends and being able to share this experience with them as well as raising funds for the charity was awesome. You can still donate the links are on my website and YouTube video. We have raised over £900; the support has been overwhelming so a massive thank you. This local charity will be able to use that money to carry on their great work and you guys would have contributed to that! Again those ripples of positivity are spreading!!! As you guys know I always say “be brilliant!”. Well, I was in my car listening to the radio when I heard another fellow coach using the same phrase! It just goes to show how popular this is and as a coach I do like to do things a bit differently, so instead of brilliant I am going to use “Be Awesome” I just think it is important you get something more unique from me, let me know what you guys think! I am writing this on the bank holiday weekend of May and I have just spent some “awesome” quality time with my family which is so important to me, which leads me to another experience I had this month. I am not sure if any of you have heard of Michael Hyatt, he is another coach and it great that us coaches listen to each other as we can also learn and continue to grow with the ultimate aim of helping you! He released a great podcast, and the aspect which stood out for me was how we should use persistence to reach our goals and he made a very important point. When you set a goal and think “well this should only take about a year” most of the time it takes longer! This is what has happened and is happening to me; what you think should be a quick goal to reach can sometimes take longer than you think! The reason for this is that usually your plan will take different directions, which means it will take longer to achieve the goal. He also mentioned the “sticky middle”; I loved this description. This is where you think things are not happening but you just need to keep going and executing your plan no matter how small or insignificant you think it might be. The most important thing is that you keep going. He spoke of people stopping just about before they succeed; I have also seen this many times with the people that I have coached. So we are definitely of the same view point. Persistence and resilience are needed if you are going to reach your goals to achieve what you want. So whatever you are doing please keep doing it as you will reach your goal eventually, enjoy the learning and journey! Let me know how you get on, and get in touch if you are struggling we can all motivate each other. Get the belief, execute and be strong! When we talk about persistence and resilience it is also important to ask why you want to achieve a goal as this is the part that will keep you going when things get tough and they do! The why question will also be answered as long as you have tied that why to your purpose, the reason why you do the things you do. So what do I do and what is my purpose? I produce free material so I can help all of you achieve your goals, I want you all to be successful in all that you do. Yes I also do paid work but also post free material as I think it is important that you can have success whoever or wherever you are! Wow another month has past and it has been a blast, it is so amazing how much happens in one month. Every month I sit down at my computer and think what has happened this month; in my head I think nothing much has happened, but before I know it a whole host of things come to mind and another blog appears on my site!! The reason? It is you guys; I get amazing feedback on what I do and how you are using the tools to make your lives even better. Remember we only get one shot at life so make it an amazing one! I am inspired by all your stories and especially this month with all the children that suffer from cancer and how resilient they are when facing it; it truly is inspiring! So have another amazing month, let me know how you are getting on with all the things you are doing and I will reply! As usual the contact details are on my site, keep sharing and caring so we can keep changing planet earth into an amazingly positive place. Everyday I wake up I think “Welcome to Planet Earth Joe, another day for opportunity and growth!” “Be Awesome” Changed the tag! (you will know why if you read this blog) Let me know what you think. All goals take effort to achieve! This is a picture of us just after we finished our run, yes we were tired but we did it and felt amazing after!! Click on the photo to access the video
