Episode 29 of the podcast and we talked about hitting the wall! (if you're new to the podcast just head over to InspirationNation.org.uk give it a listen) So what does this mean? It means when you feel you can’t go on you hit that wall!! We talked about this in the podcast and the funny thing is we all have a version of this in our lives. For me it’s just a feeling that I can’t do it any more, my brain says “I don’t want to do it”. It screams at me saying, “take it easy it’s okay to stop, its okay not to do it, that’s what everyone else does”. I have learned to listen to this voice and use it as a trigger to keep going, to do at least one more thing that brings me closer to my overall vision to wake people up. To win the battle of my mind and to really recognise, that it’s not my reality, when I hit the wall, it’s my signal to do just one more thing. This then creates a habit for me, and tells my brain that we can do more, I am capable of more, I don’t back down when it’s hard. Even if I am not getting the results, I need to step into that wall and break it, smash it and totally get rid of it!! However, we must remember that we do sometimes need to stop, it is a very personal thing, for me it’s been a slow process of just doing that one thing beyond the wall I perceived. To me that wall is an illusion, I know deep down I have more, and I can create more and I can come up with a plan to make things happen, this comes from my own self-awareness and this is one of the important keys to know yourself. Know when you can push through and also know when you much just need to step back. I am teaching myself to be more resourceful despite my circumstances!! So the other day my wifi was down at my hotel and my data had run out, so I had to re-plan I needed to push through. Now my brain was saying “it’s okay” there is no need to do a video and upload it! But I knew that it had to happen, so I knew I was going home and drove home some 150 plus miles and then posted it later in the day, no matter what it had to happen. This is the difference between the me now and the past me that would have given into that thought. I do not want the metaphor of the wall to stop me creating the life I want to create, and I want to help others smash down their walls and to wake them up to the truth that you can achieve much more than you think you can. When we think about the wall, we put limits on ourselves, we don’t allow ourselves to examine those limiting belief’s; we see others around us also being stopped by their walls and we say, “it’s okay not to push through because other people are doing this”. Just remember you become the people who are closest to you, so you need to surround yourself with people who inspire you! When you look at people you want to emulate or you look up too; just look at their story and you will find they will be the rare ones that pushed through and smashed through their walls despite the challenges, despite the lack of resources because they made the most of what they had and became resourceful. It’s just amazing what people can achieve and you can do this too. You are a human being, these people are no different to you, they were born the same as you. Yes they may have had certain circumstances, but most successful people started off less than what you have now, when I think about that it just inspires me. It creates a mental path way in my mind that it’s POSSIBLE, what I want to achieve is possible, so when I recognise the wall, I know it’s go time, its my discipline time to push through! Your life is an adventure, you discover more about yourself when you do those difficult things and when you break through your own walls, you will be so proud of yourself. I am not talking about going against medical advice, but get advice, see an alternative solution. Just because one doctor says one thing it does not mean that their word is the final word. There is research going on all the time, there are amazing podcasts with amazing information. I am currently reading Tools of Titan’s by Tim Ferris, and my GOD there is stuff in there I never knew about, and this is massive learning for me!! I was also listening to the Joe Rogan podcast and was introduced to Quantum Mechanics for the first time. I had heard about it, but didn’t really know what it was all about. So I am going to find out more about it, it just resonated with me and it talks about different realities and different potential worlds, it is just amazing and has totally opened my mind up to other possibilities. I am remaining open and examining my belief’s about what I think life is and ,now it is all about what else I need to discover, how can I get better? So this should translate into how can you GET BETTER!! You can get better by facing YOUR WALL and finding out how you can break down your wall, examine your limiting belief’s and metaphor’s and use your amazing brain to get through them, you can do this!! Just take a look at Tom Bilyeu watch this video and this will INSPIRE YOU to start. I was writing this blog as I was listening to it. I want this to have the same effect on you!!
