How are things out there for you all? I know I have not blogged in a while but I suddenly had some inspiration to blog again, this time about resilience.
I have been going through some pretty tough times with my work and also personally in my home life, but I have come through that now and I would like to share some things that really helped me pull through those times. As you all know my passion is coaching, and helping others through coaching is one of my biggest drivers, but when I was experiencing all my personal turmoil, I really had to dig deep and take make some really tough decisions in terms of what my focus was at that time. My family were going through some really tough challenges, in terms of mental health issues and I knew I had to be there for them. I was also experiencing some really challenging issues with work, with relationships at work and the challenges I faced. All of my values were being challenged so I needed all my energy to re-examine those values and also to remain consistent with my efforts to stay on my path. I knew deep down what my path was, but I needed to adapt what I was doing and I needed to take some massive action to get through it all. So I thought I would share what pulled me through and what keeps me going; so here they are in no particular order
So those are my tips for staying resilient, I practice these daily and have now included them into my own routine. I am by no means perfect and it does take commitment, and like you I don’t always get it right. As long as we keep trying to improve and notice when we are not on track that we keep taking those small actions to keep us moving forward to where we want to be. Remember enjoy the journey. What do you do to be resilient? Let me know and leave a comment below; remember be awesome out there!
