I hope you are all keeping well this week my inspiration nation friends. Making progress is important to us as humans, if we don’t think we are making progress then we become stagnant and have low energy levels to do things. The reality is, is that we are making progress everyday, the only issue is, is what kind of progress are we making? Are we headed in the right direction? You see, you are not the same person you were yesterday. So even if you sat in front of the television all day, that would be progress! But would it be the type of progress that you wanted, you might gain knowledge about what’s happening in your favourite show, but is that action moving you closer to your goals or dreams. You see, you evolve everyday, but is it the type of evolution that you want? It is a common misconception that people think they are not making progress, but they are; what we need to do is think about the type of progress we are making. Time does not stand still, so you will be doing the smallest of things each day that are either moving you closer to your dreams or moving you away from them. This is where your power of awareness and choice kicks in, you need to make sure that you are conscious of the decisions you make everyday, if you do that you will make progress in the direction you want to go, and you will start to live the life you want to live. If some things scare you because they are new then the video I created this week might help see below: Here are some things you can try to make sure you are making the right type of progress:
1 - Ask yourself have I set the right goal or dream for myself, why have I set that goal or dream? 2-Be really conscious about what you are doing every moment, think is this moving me closer or moving me away from my dream or goal? 3 - Review what you have done at the end of the day and analyse; What you can improve the next day? 4 - Keep a journal, data is key. Record something everyday in your journal so you can track your progress and don’t forget to celebrate those private victories. It might be that you are trying to lose weight and you resisted the temptation to eat a cake that was offered to you. These are the small wins that will keep you going. 5 - Be consistent everyday in your actions and practice taking these steps. Keep going and let me know how you get on.
