You worry, you feel fear and you're concerned about how you feel about certain situations and peoples opinions. You worry you feel fear and you're concerned about how you feel about certain situations and peoples opinions. This is all an inside game, you never experience things on the outside. Think about it for a moment, when you buy something what is it that you’re after? You’re after a feeling, a feeling that’s inside. Can you remember a time where you were excited about buying something or doing something? It’s not the object or the event it’s the feeling inside, that’s what humans are after all the time. The thoughts you have cause your body to react in certain ways When you know that we are all about feelings we begin to understand that it’s controllable, it’s all about being present and being aware of the way you’re feeling. The thoughts you have cause your body to react in certain ways, you can either create fear or you can create excitement. Let me give you an example. I have just delivered some new training to people, the training was new and untested and I was delivering to people I did not know. Inside I felt anxiety and I felt fear. This is because of the thoughts I was having, will the material be good enough? Is it too complex to deliver? What will people think of it? These are all thoughts and they produced anxiety, so to change my state I had to start thinking about the opportunities. No one had yet seen the material I was the first to deliver it so it was untested. This is when I thought about it as an opportunity a chance to prove to myself that I can deliver and that I can help people on a larger scale. So far I have delivered this material to over 100 people and the feedback in the main has been fantastic. Granted there are a few low scores but that is to be expected we can’t please all of the people all of the time can we? We just have to be ourselves and set a good intention. When I first found out about re-framing I was a bit dubious but it works because it comes from your belief system. |
