What is the danger zone? It’s when you’re coasting, when you’re comfortable and things are easy. That’s the danger, that’s when we get complacent and sloppy. The reason for this is that we think we can switch off and think that the world has been worked out. Well she’s got a massive surprise for you because it’s a trap, it’s a test to see if you can wake up from that comfort because sooner or later life is going to wake you up and you won’t be ready to take on the challenge that life will throw at you. Life is a challengeRemember life is a challenge, it’s designed for you to be your best self. If you don’t continually seek to improve what you do or who you are then you are dying inside. This is the purpose of life to be the best human being you can be, to be the best version of yourself. To add value to the world when others will not or refuse to because it’s hard and it’s difficult. This is what life was designed to do, it was designed to seek out the most resilient of people to see who is going to add value to the human race so it can evolve for the better. This is what natural selection is all about. If you sit back and just let things happen then you are not growing. Of course, there is a time to relax and enjoy yourself, you need that balance for you. After this though we need to be intentional about our personal growth and what it means to be a human being. We are beings that are created to be much more than we think we are. We are designed to be better, we are learning and we are adaptive that's how the human race has learned to overcome adversity and challenges, If you’re not doing this in your own life then you are going against the nature of what it is to be human. Surely we need to be moreWe need to be more because we are not just built to get our shopping every week, pay our bills then go to sleep and wake up every day and do the same things, Think about what it took to get us here, the history, the phone you have in your hand. You’re reading this on the internet, yes you’re right someone created that because they evolved because they added massive value. You can do this too, my job is to wake you up to that fact, this is what I was put on this earth to do. Now I can’t make you do it, you have got to step into it and that means stepping outside that circle of comfort and taking some calculated risks! You have so much potential it’s ridiculous! You have so much potential it’s ridiculous, we have so many gifts from speech to empathy, it’s just that we don’t appreciate them. We need to use these gifts to stretch outside our comfort zones and to stop retracting into our shells when things get difficult. The brain at all times will try and aim for comfort, your job to make sure that you grow, that you expand and that means getting out of the danger zone which is the comfort zone. When we are coasting and living that same life every day it’s so easy to fall into those unhelpful patterns and one day we wake up and 20 years have gone passed and we think what have we accomplished? Not a lot because you’ve been living in the danger zone of comfort. You need to realise your potential and that only comes from the stretchYou need to realise your potential and that only comes from the stretch. What’s the stretch you may ask? That’s when you feel that little bit of fear because you’re stepping outside the comfort zone, you recognise that you’ve never done what you’re going to do and that’s when you come alive. Your brain switches into survival mode and starts to work out what’s needed to solve the problem or the challenge. Again it will try and stop you, but it’s at the point of difficulty where you have to choose to grow or stay where you are. That’s the hard part to stay aware when things are difficult, so you can healthily process the emotion, that’s the training for you to accomplish great things. I can promise you this, you can achieve much more than what you thought you could but it takes belief and courage to understand this. Just remember we all have our specific danger zonesJust remember we all have our specific danger zones, but they will specific to us as individuals and we all have to take responsibility for getting out of those comfort zones and to add value to this world. That’s on you and when you realise this you will be living outside the danger zone and will start to live a life with unlimited potential. It’s up to you to step in.
