As Anthony Robbins says about relationships think of the time you were first both together and how you acted Are you intentional about your day, your hour and your seconds? I know I’m not but I’m trying. So even recently we went for a day out at Colchester Zoo here in the UK. My intention was to be the best dad and husband ever and to be very attentive at every moment. Did that happen? No, but it did help! An example of this was when we went into the gift store, you know that place where you leave an attraction then they tempt you with all their wares! Anyway, my wife was going through the store and she loves giraffes! At first, she picked up a cuddly one and said that was nice, then she went over to some carvings and really loved a carving of a giraffe which she thought would look really great in the house. It was at this point that my intention was kicking in, I was paying attention and my mind was already planning what to do next. So as my daughter was paying for her bits and pieces I waited in line with them. As they were leaving the store I made my excuse went back into the store and bought the carving. It wasn’t cheap, but that’s the point, I made the effort and it is our wedding anniversary soon this would be an early gift. Well, I can’t describe to you how overwhelmed my beloved was with the gift, and how thoughtful she thought it was and this all came from the power of intention. I’m describing this because it’s making a huge difference in my life. As Anthony Robbins says about relationships think of the time you were first both together and how you acted, and as time goes you can seem to take each other for granted. I never want to do that ever again, I know I have but having that intention helps you stay on point. As with anything you have to put in the work. Whether it's relationships or work you have to be intentional! You know what, it really does help just writing it downSo how does this help with other aspects? I’m really trying to set an intention every day in my journal of how I will be throughout the day. At the moment I am putting in my journal that I intend to enjoy the day, be present and be happy! You know what it really does help just writing it down and it makes you really think about whether you are putting into action your intention! I want this to come across in my daily videos and this blog so you can also practice intention and how you want to show up each and every day. If you have a relationship then really think about how you are showing up What I would say is to write it down, this has worked for me and having a journaling habit allows you to really put down on paper how you want to show up every day of your life. I know by doing this I have definitely had more happy days than down days since doing this so why not give it a try. If you have a relationship then really think about how you are showing up in all your roles as a dad, husband and friend to name but just a few. I am going to continue to be intentional so what about you. Will you give this a go and let me know how it works out for you? Until next time stay inspired!
