So here we are again, Christmas has come round again so soon. I thought I would blog about the types of gifts you can give yourself ; what I actually mean is the things you can do to continue to develop and evolve for the rest of this year and into 2018. Thinking about this time of year and how it has flown made me remember when I did a You Tube video in 2015! I can’t believe it was that long ago! You can catch it here if you want to give it a view. " Christmas Motivation Video "One of the questionsin my video was getting to know yourself, and believe me I have been doing that a lot lately! Since shooting that video a lot has happened and I have grown even more because of challenges that arose out of the work I was doing. I was definitely in the discomfort zone and finding out more about myself; we are always learning and improving all the time, as long as we are conscious about what we are doing. If we are not conscious then we are likely to repeat mistakes that keep us stuck in a reality which makes us unhappy, and that is something we must avoid at all costs. My video will walk you through creating a strategy that will work for you. Christmas is a great time of year to reflect and to see how far you have come over that time and an excellent opportunity to see what you can differently. Something that really works is developing an attitude about what you have to be grateful for; I am so grateful at having an amazing family and also being able write this blog. Being able to share my thoughts with you all with this amazing tool called the internet; and I am so privileged that you are still reading up to this point! So developing our attitude of gratitude is vital to keep us feeling good, because every time we can appreciate how lucky we are, the feel good feelings can give us the energy to continue taking action to get us where we want to be. Developing your own mindset and knowing yourself are also key to being successful in whatever you are doing. I was interviewed by Dr Tom Recher about my coaching and developing your mindset and if you want to catch that interview you can listen to it here, it’s in two parts if that’s something you are interested in. I reveal what I went through personally in the interview so I definitely had to change my mindset. "Developing your mind set is key"Another gift you can give yourself is remembering to be kind to yourself, this is something I talked about in the video (so give it a watch if you want more information on this), and I would also now add and say, “live in the moment”, be present about what you are doing. Even as I am writing this blog I am thinking about how I am feeling and does it feel good? Is what I am writing keeping me in the present moment and am I connecting with my true self? The reason for this is that no matter what we do we have to be real, we cannot go around pretending to be someone we are not, so be yourself and whatever you do will be a true reflection of who you are and what you stand for. So when you work, this will come across and people will appreciate you for who you are and not an impression of who you are. I think if you are going to work on something and evolve, this is one of the most important things you can do. In addition making sure you have energy to do what you need to do and what meets your needs; once you have that you are on your way, and you can also then help others if that’s what you choose to do. So here we are Christmas 2017, I just cannot believe how quickly time has gone, and it has been a pleasure connecting with you guys and long may it continue. Over the Christmas period I will be meeting up with family and friends and I hope you all have someone to see, though I do appreciate that some of you may not be having a great Christmas. I would just say hang in there and keep taking action and I am sure things will start to turn around for you. Keep up the positivity, and most of all be kind to yourself, as long as you are taking some sort of action to continue to improve then you will start to see things change.
